Being the one in the family that takes all of the photos is hard. Every event I am behind the camera, parties, Christmas, christenings, engagements… Whatever it is, I’m there with my camera in hand.
I love it, mostly. I enjoy taking photos & I like to think I’m pretty good (I’ve done several paid jobs for friends and friends of friends). One day I’d love to do it more professionally.
Today though I’m stressing.
I have three children. My sister has a son and three step children. Adding them up…. Seven kids.
This afternoon I am taking portraits of my sister’s four. Easy enough, a few individuals and a few as a group. In between I’ll take some of my munchkins.
The thing that is stressing me is that we are trying to get all seven children, aged 10 months to 12 years, in a photo together. See, my mum has a photo when there were five cousins, but we want to update her photo for her. It was difficult with five & I had to bribe them with marshmallows, I can’t really do that with The Baby yet so it’s going to be stressful.
Better dose up on my Bach Rescue Remedy!

How did you go as marshmellows as the bribe, or did they all sit still for you this time? (I think not, but miracles can always happen)!!
And please know that plenty of people love and read your blog. I might not comment, because it’s just not something I do, but don’t give up. Take each day one step at a time, and just know that there are people who care!
