Frocktober 29th

by sarah on October 29, 2011

Today’s dress comes from a fellow IVF bloggy friend over at Chasing A Miracle. It’s a gorgeous Soon Maternity dress & it was so light yesterday in the 30 degree heat at 4pm when we went out to take some photos.

Funny thing that, we wait until the third last day to go out “on location” to get photos…. Perhaps next year I can be better organised & get some good ones that are not just in front of a wall!!

I really liked this one as a funny one, my belly matches the sculpture! And of course I had to play with Photoshop as well to make it even more interesting! LOL

And finally, another one from today though, just have to share that I have officially lost vision of my feet, always fun!

Two days left after today & I am honestly at a loss as to what I am going to wear. I still have one more dress borrowed from Holly but it’s a long formal one & I don’t see me being able to wear it easily in the next two days, that is unless I can convince hubby to take me out for dinner & have a two dress day! Not likely with two small people though… Anyway, we shall see what I can come up with.

Frocktober 28th

Today’s dress was from day eight last year & it’s another that has to be retired for the year unfortunately. I really like it but my boobs just don’t agree & won’t fit in it quite properly at the moment! Though in saying that, I did manage to spend two hours showing in it today without too many problems. Now that I’m home for the evening I’m comfy in pyjamas, yes at 4pm. Hey I’m pregnant, I’m allowed!

Too Cold for The Littlest Frockette

by sarah on October 28, 2011

Not many dresses for the Littlest Frockette the last few days, it’s just been too cold, but here are two since her last update & hopefully more when the weather warms up.

October 22nd

While she doesn’t look real happy about having her photo taken, this is going to be The Littlest Frockette’s favourite dress this Summer.

We went to KMart yesterday & she saw a picture of this dress & fell in love with it. One of her two favourite colours (the other being pink if you didn’t notice already!) and with hearts all over it, she thought it was the best dress she had ever seen. She asked if we could have a look for it & being Frocktober, how could I possibly say no?! We found it in her size (three) and with a price tag of $15 we bought it right away.

October 24th

This dress was another hand-me-down from a friend of mine who has a little girl the same age as our big boy. When she had her second child & he was a boy she gave away a whole stack of gorgeous & hardly worn clothes. The Littlest Frockette was due just a few months later so we were lucky enough to inherit some stunning dresses including some very expensive brands. This one I think is a an Osh Kosh. The other great thing is that because the dresses are 5+ years old there will be no other little girls wearing the same which I have come across with current season clothes.

I also have tomention the weird pose…. Miss was talking into the money box because it made her voice funny & wouldn’t put the thing down for ages. When I told her it was dress photo time she picked it up & asked to have it in the photo as well. Strange child!

Frocktober 27th

by sarah on October 27, 2011

Another Holly Bub2B dress today. Either I’m getting bigger very quickly or this one is smaller than the others even though it says it’s the same size. Very odd indeed.

It’s been cold for the last three days, compared with the 34 degree day we had on Monday. I complained about that & am now complaining about the cold… Never happy! I just want something in between that is nice, maybe somewhere around 23-26 degrees I think would be perfect.

Frocktober 26th

by sarah on October 26, 2011

At work today, I cheated & wore my Frocktober 10th dress again, this time covered mostly by my work shirt, as you can see.

I did warn everyone at the start that this was going to happen didn’t I?! I’m surprised I’ve managed this far without too much cheating actually!

Tomorrow is another Holly dress & then some others to round out the last four days but I have no idea what yet, I suppose I should get my act together & go through the ironing.

I think I’m going to be very glad when Frocktober is done for this year. While dresses are so comfy in pregnancy, it’s becoming increasing difficult to find a different one each day.

Aah well, next year should be easier.

Frocktober 25th

For the most part I was wearing a black skirt & my work shirt today but I got changed after I got home, so you get to see that dress.

I wore this one last year on day 27, thought I think it looked much better then! Also, for decency reasons it will be packed away until next year’s Frocktober, or at least until this bump is gone because it rides up waaaay too much!

I also need to work on my self portraits… I keep chopping my feet off!

Frocktober 24th

by sarah on October 24, 2011

Another dress today borrowed from Holly & I think this one has beaten the blue one as my favourite, so far, there are still two more to go!

I think Holly must’ve had a bit of a love affair with the KMart Bub2B range because it’s another one from there. Funnily enough, if I was pregnant at the same time she was & these dresses were available I would’ve had a love affair with the range as well!

Only one week to go…

Have you sponsored me yet?

Frocktober 23rd

by sarah on October 23, 2011

I wrote a few weeks ago about a fabulous dress by Seraphine that was donated to me by Fertile Mind.

The Tully Maxi Maternity Nursing Dress and today I wore it for the first time.

To start with, I love that it’s a nursing dress as well as a maternity dress. It’s so hard to find dresses that are suitable for breastfeeding & when you can find them they are just ridiculously expensive. Now the Tully Maxi is still quite expensive, but the fact that it can easily see you through pregnancy & then continue on during breastfeeding makes it so much more affordable.

As I said in my original post, I was very uncertain about the colour but Nikki from Styling You thought it would be fine. Turns out that the styling guru was right & I was quite happy with the colour. Both mum & hubby thought it looked great as well as some friends that we saw today agreed. I think the splash of colour from the necklace helped!

The dress itself was quite comfy, the fabric is very light & just perfect for Summer. I can say that easiyl because yesterday was a 30 degree day in Sydney ;) Plus the style is really cute!

There were one small issue that I had though… The bottom layer of tulle is quite rough so I found the bottom layer scratching my legs a little bit, I think after a few washes it will soften up a bit though.

And so now I’ve rambled on about how awesome the dress is, of course you all want to see it right?

Well here you go… The Tully Maxi Maternity Nursing Dress, modelled by moi!

Disclosure: I received complimentary maternity dress courtesy of Seraphine for Fertile Mind. No financial payment was offered nor accepted for this post. All opinions expressed are purely my own.

Frocktober 22nd

by sarah on October 22, 2011

Today’s dress is another borrowed from Holly & also from the KMart Bub2B range. I had never really noticed just how nice their dresses were until Holly sent me a package of five dresses to borrow. Although this is my least favourite of the lot, I think probably because it’s shorter & I prefer long dresses… Have you noticed?! It’s also not a design I would’ve picked for myself, but you probably could’ve picked that from my other dresses already right?

Nine days left to go this year & I think with borrowing dresses from here, there & everywhere I will manage to get all the way to the end

So today I send out a big thank you to those that have sent me dresses -

Frocktober 21st

by sarah on October 21, 2011

It’s such a shame that my favourite dress from this year’s Frocktober is one that I’ve borrowed & sadly will have to return in a few weeks!

This one came from my friend Holly & amazingly it is a KMart dress, in the Bub2B maternity range. Sadly it’s about two years old & no longer available in store, otherwise I definitely would’ve snapped one up for myself already!I also think my thongs look pretty awesome with it too right? I got them a few years ago for Christmas but never had anything to match, then along came this dress & they were a perfect match :)

I have two others in the same brand & a similar style, also borrowed from Holly that you’ll see next week.

I wonder if she’d notice if I didn’t return this one?!
